Red Squirrel Rising Poster

This poster was created for a band called "Red Squirrel Rising." The client described their music as progressive rock. It's fully instrumental (no vocal). To create this poster, I wanted to fully encapsulate the feeling of the music which is why I decided to only illustrate while listening to their songs. It was atmospheric, relaxing, and a little outer worldly. I used inspiration from illustrated posters from bands such as grateful dead, and based my color palette off of the atmospheric/out of this world vibes I received while drawing this poster. I used imagery of a squirrel to represent their name and fun personality of the band itself, while putting it inside of a guitar which is used in all of their music.
